It is a golden rule of publishing that the moment after you release, an error will be discovered. For trivia, this is even more true, since records are set to be broken, and new knowledge is always being discovered. - Question 48: The Saturn was the *successor*, not the predecessor.
- Question 49: The month was October, not November.
- Question 52: Extra information should say "leopards' spots have no dots", not "jaguars'".
- Question 90: The correct answer is Walter Camp, not Amos Alonzo Stagg. Camp actually selected Stagg for that first All-American team.
- Question 128: Cuba became independent.
- Question 151: "Bree Daniel" should be "Bree Daniels".
- Question 162: Tom Kristenson broke Ickx's record in 2005 and now holds the record with eight wins.
- Question 188: Question should also say "and was the son of a senator" (otherwise Andrew Johnson also qualifies).
- Question 230: Question should say "elect". P.B.S. Pinchback served as governor of Louisiana briefly but was not elected.
- Question 356: The correct answer is Nixon, who was the next president and was born in a Yorba Linda farmhouse.
- Question 372: Extra information should now be past tense, and Wimbledon joined the other three in 2007.
- Question 388: Question should say "main country".
- Question 431: Question should say "1880", not "1939" (he died in 1910).
- Question 456: Spitz's record was broken in 2008 by Michael Phelps.
- Question 586: Answer is no longer true but can be fixed by substituting "largest" for "principal".
- Question 595: The movie was in 1985 (the award was 1986).
- Question 654: The University of Florida pulled the double in 2006 and 2007.
- Question 672: Ben Wallace (41.7%) now holds the record.
- Question 709: Pygmalion was Greek, not Roman.
- Question 754: Question should say "projected to have a Hispanic majority".
- Question 755: Question should say "name" not "given name".
- Question 811: Extra information should say "Gojira" not "Gojiva".
- Question 831: Question should say "dioxide" not "oxide".
- Question 865: "Over the River Kwai" should be "on the River Kwai".
- Question 859: The song was by Paul Simon without Art Garfunkel.
- Question 882: Ronaldo of Brazil netted his 14th goal on June 22, 2006 and his 15th five days later.
- Question 918: The teams met for the 141st time in 2005.
- Question 930: The second level is strawberry, not apple.
- Question 1,092: The San Diego Padres hosted the New York Mets in Monterrey, Mexico in August 1996.
- Question 1,158: Bobby Knight won his 880th game on January 1, 2007.
- Question 1,189: The movie was in 1990 (the award was 1991).
- Question 1,216: The Shar Pei also has a blue-black tongue.
- Question 1,240: The Karakoram (or Karakorum) range is part of the Himalayas.
- Question 1,243: Extra information is true but this movie was with Billy Crystal.
- Question 1,263: Carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen are all part of all amino acids.
- Question 1,268: Richard Cromwell is the correct answer as the question is stated. Edward VIII was the shortest-reigning monarch, however.
- Question 1,329: The correct answer is Fax machine (b).
- Question 1,332: Kobe Bryant scored 81 points for the Lakers against the Raptors on January 22, 2006.
- Question 1,413: Standard U.S. electric current is now 120 volts.
- Question 1,420: Agawam once owned the distinction, but Holtsville, New York now does (00501).
- Question 1,449: Extra info should say "below", not "above".
- Question 1,543: The correct answer is John Philip Sousa (c).
- Question 1,579: The pink (or red) color is a myth. Yak's milk is actually a creamy color.
- Question 1,628: Question should say "main metal" instead of "main chemical element".
- Question 1,645: The movie was in 1987 (the award was 1988).
- Question 1,700: Switzerland joined the United Nations in 2002.
- Question 1,718: Question should say "city" instead of "state".
- Question 1,736: The U.S. flag has had 50 stars for the longest time as of 2008.
- Question 1,776: The Baltimore Ravens became the fifth in 1996.
- Question 1,903: Extra info should say "22" not "32".
Note: The International Astronomical Union reclassified Pluto as a dwarf planet (or small solar system object) on August 24, 2006. Pluto has been removed as a choice from some questions in this volume.
